Educational programs and activities involving minors are central to Virginia Tech's engagement mission. The Office of Youth Protection, formed in 2020, oversees the policies and operating standards for university programs and activities involving non-enrolled minors, including camps, clinics, workshops, conferences, and research lab mentorships, on campus or off.
If you run a program that involves minors, whether you are a Virginia Tech department or an outside organization using university facilities, this site tells you what Policy 4815 requires and how to comply.
